James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Larry Barrentine, 50, of Greenhead, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at Bay Medical Center in Panama CIty. He was a native of Marianna, where he played football and was active in Track program at Marianna High School. He later graduated with The Marianna Class of 1976. He then attended Lurleen B. Wallace College where he played baseball. Preceded in death by his father, Mr. L. B. Barrentine and his brother Jimmy. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Barrentine of Greenhead; his son, Jesse "L B" Barrentine of Greenhead, his daughter, Lauralee "Adelle" Barrentine of Tallahassee; step son, Jerry Kelly of Panama CIty; his mother, Johnnie Barrentine of Marianna; two brothers, David Barrentine of Marianna, Rex Barrentine and wife, Julie of Panama City, one sister-in-law, Mary Barrentine Fears of Marianna, mother-in-law, Pat Smith of Panama City; nieces Kelly Elmore, Brooke & Bailee Barrentine; nephews, Colby Barrentine, Chad Fears. Funeral services will be held Monday Feb. 18, 2008 at 6 p.m. at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel of Marianna, Fl. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Maddox Chapel.
