Kirtland Hamilton, 89, of Marianna, died Friday, March 23, 2018 at Jackson Hospital.
He was an avid entrepreneur being involved in many business ventures. He also was a Navy veteran and civilian small aircraft pilot and had his A/P license for aircraft maintenance. Mr. Hamilton was employed by Eastern Airlines during their early years. After his time at Eastern, he moved his family to the State of Maine and spent many years there. He retired in Florida and spent his remaining years in the Sunshine State.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Charlotte Isobel Hamilton, and his son Mark Hamilton.
Kirtland was survived by his daughters, Kim Sanborn, Karen Channell, Katie Arey, Kerrie Sanderson; 18 grand children and 24 great grand children.
Memorialization will be by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in charge of arrangements.
