James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Kenneth Ray Davis, 79, of Greenwood died Sunday, December 8, 2013. Kenneth was born and raised in Jackson County. Mr. Davis was a US Navy Veteran and retired from National Airlines as a Ticket Agent. After retiring, he worked at Dozier School for Boys as a Maintenance Supervisor. Kenneth attended Lovedale Baptist Church and a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church. Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Cornelia Davis; parents, Andrew Neal Davis and Mellie Ray Davis. Survivors include two sons, Stephen Craig Shuler and wife, Vicki, of Bristol, Ray Lowery Davis and wife, Crystal, of Pensacola; two daughters Dawyn Dumas and husband, Richard, of Canton, GA, Parsha Davis Byrd of Greenwood; six brothers, Lamar Davis of Wewahitchka, Harold Davis of Greenwood, Gerald Davis of Youngstown, Duane Davis of Lovedale, Max Davis of Crawfordville, and Norman Davis of Lovedale; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Greenwood Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Canada, Revs. John Kramer and Fred Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood United Methodist Church Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
