James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Kathryn C. Rudd, 82, of Greenwood, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. Kathryn was born July 3, 1930 in Graceville, Florida to the late Spurgeon and Eva Clark. She retired from Sunland Marianna in 1992 after 20 years of service. During this time she held positions as resident training instructor, human services worker, and vocational instructor with the Vocational Training Program. She enjoyed working with her flowers and spending many wonderful days fishing with her husband of 30 years, Noel Rudd. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Wayne A. Shingler, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Noel W. Rudd, two daughters, Cindy K. Auman (Arthur) of Lewistown, Pa. and Linda Sue Fowler of Cottondale, and one son, John S. Shingler of Panama City; two step-sons, Noel W. Rudd, Jr.(Stephanie)of Jasper, Tx; Billy Rudd (Eunice) of Alford; two step-daughters, Alice Jurgonski (Bob) of Youngstown and Patricia Ann Rudd of Greenwood. Five sisters, Bette Anne Hughes (Raymond), Seminole, Tx.; Peggy Danzey (Charlie) of Defuniak Springs; Elizabeth Clearman (Phillip) of Dothan, Al.; Ella Mae Harris of Malone; and Rebecca Wells (Bill)of Macon, Ga. and one brother, Rev. Charles Clark (Sylvia) of Kiln, Ms.; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, October 15, at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel with Rev. James Lamb and Rev. Charles Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14 at the James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. A very special thanks to the staff of the West Unit at Marianna Health & Rehab. Ctr., the friends of Covenant Hospice, and her loving daughters & caregivers, Linda Fowler and Ann Rudd.
