Adams, 46, of Cypress, FL went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 14, 2014 while at her Mother's residence. Karen was born in Quincy,FL and was raised in Cypress,FL. She later moved to Dothan, AL where she had a long career as a Registered Nurse. She retired in 2009. She enjoyed gardening, reading, collecting lighthouses and angels. Karen also valued spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon S. Adams of Enterprise, AL and her Father, Rev. Jerry L. Mears of Cypress, FL. Survivors include her four children, Jeremy Maddox (Ashley) of Ashford,AL, Justin Maddox of Cypress, FL, Jimmy Maddox (Stephanie) of Fort Stewart, GA, Jennifer Nobles (Buddy) of Ashford, AL; five grandchildren; her mother, Mary Mears of Cypress, FL; sister, Melinda Wright (Duckey) of Marianna,FL and a host of Aunts, cousins and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11am Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Cypress Community Church, Cypress, FL with Revs. Roland Bamberg and Keith Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Cypress Community Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing, Family will receive close friends and family Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 10 am until funeral time at Cypress Community Church.
