Julian Ward Williams, Jr.

May 24, 1950 — July 19, 2013

James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Julian Ward Williams Jr., 63, of Marianna died Friday July 19, 2013 in Panama City, Florida. Julian, better known as JuJu, to his grand kids, nieces and nephews, served in the United States Army where he completed two tours in Vietnam being awarded a Purple Heart. He took great pride in serving his country. JuJu was a lover of animals and was devoted to his dog Max who was his constant companion for the past twelve years. He was also an avid NASCAR fan who could be heard rooting for his favorite driver during the races. JuJu's love of food and cooking was apparent to his friends and family when he served his famous chicken purloo and pot roast that was gone in seconds after being placed on the table. For those who knew JuJu, he was a man of few words who lived life to the fullest until he became ill. He loved tinkering with cars and working in the auto industry, especially at Ray's Garage in Marianna, and spent many hours camping in his RV exploring the Southeast. Many stories were shared and problems solved around the table at Cohee's cafe during his morning meetings with the "Coffee Club". The family would like to thank their family and friends for all of their support during the last few months and extend their gratitude to the staff at Panama City Nursing Center and Covenant Hospice for the care and compassion they provided to Julian.
