James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Judy Mae Edwards, age 72, of Marianna, Florida, died on July 28, 2015 at Bay Medical Center's Covenant Hospice Unit in Panama City Beach, Florida. "Miss Judy", as she was known to most, was born on September 8, 1942 to the late Charles & Naomi (Wright) Arthur. She was a graduate of Poca High School in Putnam County, WV. "Mom," as so many of her children's friends knew her, was also a loyal employee of Winn Dixie Stores, Inc. for 30 years up until the time of her death. Most recently, her smiling face could be seen at the Marianna store, but prior to that, she worked in various stores and various departments throughout Northeast Florida, including Orange Park, Jacksonville, Middleburg, and St. Augustine. "MiMi," as she was known to her grandchildren and their friends, was loved by almost everyone who came into contact with her, and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her! She is survived by her children Jeff Karnes, Jami (Robert) Haught, and Brandi Howard; her six grandchildren Ryan (Amber) Thomas, Brianna Haught, Zachary Fisher, Jordan Beckett, Jonathan Beckett, and Noah Howard; two great granddaughters, Brooklyn and Adriana Waller; her brothers Larry (Debbie) Arthur, Roger Arthur, and David (Patricia) Arthur; lots of cousins, nieces and nephews, and extended family; and many, many friends. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, James Karnes; and her son, Kerry Karnes. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August, 2, 2015 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
