She was born March 10, 1926 to the late James Yance Mayo and the late Irene Whitfield Mayo of East Point. She was preceded in death by her husband Rodgers William Hewett and her son, William R. Hewett; her sister, Agnes Cox. Survivors include two sons, Timothy D. Hewett & wife, Alice of Marianna, James M. Hewett of Donalsonville, Ga.; three brothers, J.Y. Mayo, Charles Mayo and J. Carl Mayo, all of Eastpoint, Fl.; two sisters, Mable Mayo of Eastpoint, Fl., Gracie Mayo of Carrabelle, Fl., nine Grandchildren, Stacey Richards of Milledgeville, Ga.,, T. J. Hewett of Mobile, Tammy Hewett of Greenville, Al., Tracy Hewett of Evergreen, Al., Scotty Hewett of Greenwood, Shanna Hewett of Altha, Michelle, Jennifer and Ryan Hewett of Marianna, six great grandchildren Triston and, Mason of Milledgeville, Ga. Gauyn and Raylee of Greenwood. Destiny of Altha and Lexus of Evergreen AL. Funeral Services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday November 8, 2007 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Dennis Creamer officiating. Burial will follow in Bascom United Metodist Cemetery, with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Family will recieve friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday November 7, 2007, at James and Sikes Maddox Chapel.
