Alice was born on November 24, 1931 in Alford, Florida. She was the daughter of James and Rebecca Foran. She was married 57 years to Robert J. Carpenter. She graduated from Marianna High School. Alice had resided in Alford, Florida for the past 36 years and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Marianna, Florida. Alice Juanita was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Everett, Willis, Willie, Ecker, Edward, George, and Harrell; one sister, Hester Peacock She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Carpenter; sister, Gladys Hill and husband, Carlos; six children, Randy Carroll of Alford, FL, Ginger Blanton and her husband, O.E, Becky Dunaway and her husband, Donnie of Alford, FL, Leslie Okashah and husband, Mohammad of Albany, GA, Betty Luther and husband, Bill, and Jonathan Carpenter of Marianna, FL; Grandchildren, Adam Okashah, James Carroll, Andrea Westphal, Christina Blanton, Rory Dunaway, Nicole Hatcher, Matthew Dunaway, Alexander Okashah, Rebecca Okashah, Sarah Long, Brandi Luther, Elizabeth Luther. Great-Grandchildren: Aubrianna, Makenna, Ethan, Ian, Rowan, Layla, Rana and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. John Rollyson officiating. Interment will follow in Vickery Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
