Joyce Barwick Jones, 75, passed away Tuesday July 12, 2022, at her residence. She was born December 15, 1946, in Marianna, Florida to Jesse and Lora Barwick.
Joyce lived her entire life in Marianna, and was known for her willingness to help others, for never holding a grudge, and for her good cooking. She never met a stranger. She loved and provided for her three children and spoiled her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lora Barwick; brothers, Rudolph Barwick, Coy Barwick, Bubba Barwick, William Barwick, Horace James, Foy Barwick, Don Barwick; and sisters, Francis Cobb, Louise Harris, and Alice Fay Barwick.
Joyce is survived by her son, Jesse (Nita) Meredith; Daughters, Regina Ervin and Laura (John) Etheridge; brothers, Larry Carnley and Jack Barwick; sisters, Hazel Carnley, Doris Adkins, Eloise Edenfield; along with eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 15, 2022, at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel, with Jack Barwick Officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until time of the service at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
