James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Joseph Gary Whitehead, 65, of Marianna died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Marianna but lived most of his life in Tallahassee where he worked as Auditor for Dept. of Revenue until his retirement eight years ago. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marianna. Survivors include his wife, Mary Whitehead; one son, Gregory Whitehead of Tallahassee; two daughters, Catherine Hourigan and husband, John of Tallahassee; Nicki Davis & husband, Eddie of Ft. Lauderdale; four brothers, Bud Whitehead, of Fresno, California, Jamie Whitehead of Red Bay, Fl., Willie Whitehead of Marianna, Ronnie Whitehead of Ellicot, Maryland; one sister, Denise Folds of Marianna; nine grandchildren, Corey, Jessie, Matt & Brock Hourigan; Tyler & Mallory Whitehead; Joey Whitehead, Garrett & Nathan Davis. Funeral services will be at 2 PM Sunday, August 7, 2011 at James & SIkes Maddox Chapel. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday, August 6, 2011 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
