Joseph Vincent Stephens, 53 of Marianna, passed away on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, at his residence. He was born September 23, 1970 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Preston Leonard Stephens and Shirley Jean Wright.
Joseph was a sandblaster and spray painter for over 30 years. He loved to fish, hunt, spend time outdoors and anything to do with his grandchildren. He had many jobs but his favorite job by far was being a Pop Pop. He loved being a Pop Pop more than anything in the world. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and Pop Pop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Preston Stephens and Shirley Jean Wright; one brother, Ronnie Stephens and one sister, Tammy Stephens.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Samantha Stephens; one son, Colby Joe Stephens (Savanah); two daughters, Morgan Rena Laster (Byron) and Fairah Jewel Vaughan (Joe); grandchildren, Jorden Laster, Amari Laster, Colby Joe Stephens Jr., Ella Marie Stephens, Nova Henne, Bentley Moore and one that is on the way; two sisters, Shirley Ann Stephens and Tiffany Stephens; Like A Son, Codi Waldron; one sister-in-law, Tasha Simmons; nieces, Katrina Jewel Stephens, Haley Stephens, Destiny Picolo, Kiersten Picolo, Jai’Dise Bryant, Ja’Lonna Bryant, Jaziyah Bryant and Ja’Lijah Bryant; nephews, Joey Booker and Lou Picolo (Mallory); a special cousin, Danny Stephens (Tonya); best friends, Sid Guttuso, Larrian & Michelle.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 on Tuesday, April 2,2024 at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Chris Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at Mill Springs Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
