Jonathan "Jon" Neil Carpenter

Jonathan Neil Carpenter, 62, of Marianna, Florida, died December 10, 2024. Jon, as he was known by most, was born in Fort Worth, TX on December 22, 1961. He was the youngest son of Juanita and Robert Carpenter. 

Jon attended Hope School and was a long-term resident of Sunland Center in Marianna where he worked in the Recycling Department. In his younger years, Jon enjoyed playing with the Sunland softball team, the bowling team and dancing with the square-dancing group. Jon enjoyed going home to be with his family on his birthdays, holidays, and the Family Reunion every June. Jon was loved by his family and his friends at Sunland and will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Juanita and Bob Carpenter and his brother, Randy Carroll.

Jon is survived by his sisters, Ginger Blanton of Granbury, TX, Becky Dunaway and husband, Donnie of Alford, FL, Leslie Okashah of Granbury, TX, and Betty Luther and husband, Bill of Alford, FL; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Burial will follow in Vickery Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
