Jon L. Meadows

Jon Leland "Big Jon" Meadows, 61, of Sneads died August 25, 2008 in Gainesville. He was born in Brooksville, served in the US Army, worked for The University of Florida Research Center in Greenwood for several years. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. "DJ" Meadows; two sons, Bonner E. Windley and Donyel J. Fitts of Sneads; daughters, Darlene Knapp of Anchorage, Alaska, Deborah Winley of Sunberry, NC; other extended family, Diane Wright and Amanda Vliet both of Sneads, Denise Harrelson of Panama City; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 28, at Welcome Assembly of God Church in Dellwood with Dr. Thomas Batts officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. no visitation is planned.
