John Thomas Welch, 79, of Marianna died Monday, November 24, 2008 in Marianna. He was a native of Blountstown, worked for the city of Marianna for more than 18 years and the city of Blountstown for six years. He is survived by his wife Jeanette Welch of Marianna; three daughters, Lois Adkins and husband, Roger; Janice Faye Odom all of Blountstown, Diane Smith of Atlanta; one sister, Mattie Conner of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Jennifer Pitts, Millissa Odom, Angie Humprey; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. CDT Wednesday, November 26, at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel with Ronnie Kent officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA., with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
