John Angus "Sonny" Parker

John, "Sonny" Angus Parker was born in Marianna on August 25, 1938. His parents John Anderson Parker and Cora Mae Peacock Parker instilled in John a love for Marianna and the people who made up this community. After serving in the Air Force John found a fascination for WWII memorabilia. He could always bring a conversation around to this era of history by telling stories and reciting facts. His love for flying came from the time he served in the Air Force. An electrician by profession and a jack of all trades, John could always be found tinkering with something. He is survived locally by two cousins, Daun Crews and Kerri Loving plus too many close friends and acquaintance's to count. His passing on May 10, 2011 will leave an empty spot for many, especially his very special friends Margaux and Charles La Fontaine. Graveside memorial service will be 10 am, August 9th, 2011 at Riverside Cemetery with Dr. Huw Christopher officiating with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
