John Ray Lawson

John Ray Lawson, Sr., 89, of Midland City, AL died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in Ozark, AL. Born in Buford, Ga. Mr. Lawson was a former resident of Marianna where he worked ten years along with his wife Martha Anne where they managed Arrow Head Campgrounds. He and his wife were long time business owners in both Marianna and Dothan after leaving Arrow Head. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann and a son Steven Allen Lawson; his parents, L. D. and Bertie Thomas Lawson. Survivors include: one son, John Ray Lawson, Jr and wife Barbara of Cypress, TX.; four daughters, Patricia Anne Brandon and husband Scotty of Midland City, Barbara Mae Clark and husband Gary of Augusta, GA., Teresa Kay Gilbert and husband Thomas of Pinkard, AL. and Deborah Lynne Lawson of Augusta, GA; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be 10 am Thursday, July 14. 2011 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Scotty Brandon officiating with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directng.
