John William Gregg

John William Gregg, age 80, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at his home. He was born on April 16, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio to Bill and Helen Gregg. John served his country in The United States Army. Upon completing a tour in Germany, he returned to his hometown of Dayton, Ohio where he began what would be a 27-year career with General Motors.

In 1965, he met and married Caroll Sue Hughes. They had two daughters. John was also proud to be a longstanding member of the Freemasons. It was in the mid 1990’s when both he and Caroll retired and relocated to Grand Ridge, Florida where he would spend his remaining days.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Helen Gregg; his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Jim Greer; and his nephew, Alex Greer.

He is survived by his wife, Caroll; their two daughters, Monica Enix (Jason) and Kimberly Gregg (Alex); grandchildren, Morgan Howard (Cory), Ryan Butcher (Kennedy), and Kali Wooden; brother, Jim Gregg; niece, Stephanie Howard (Todd); and nephew, Tony Greer (Debbie); sister-in-law, Phyllis Watson (Larry), along with many dear and special friends.
