Ed was born November 26, 1922 in Havana, Florida. He served in the U.S. Navy. Ed was a precision heavy equipment operator in Alaska for the U.S. Government for more than 20 years. His passion was Alaskan Natives and American Service men. Ed served as a missionary to Alaska for over 50 years, where he touched countless lives, loved and provided for many. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Fairbanks, Alaska. He has been attending the Sneads Assembly of God since moving back to Chattahoochee. He was Preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur and Nellie Clemons Revells; infant son, Raymond Olen Revells; and eight siblings. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, June Watson Revells; two daughters, Reatha Templeton and husband, Barry of Chattahoochee, Vanessa Huckseldt and husband, Tido of Colorado Springs; one son, John Edwards Revells Jr. and wife, Lisa of Chattahoochee; seven Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. (C.D.T) Monday, March 30, 2015 at Sneads Assembly of God with Rev. Juno Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
