James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Joey Len Hagan, 45, of Chipley died Monday, April 23, 2012 at North West Florida Community Hospital in Chipley. Born in Pensacola, Joey grew up in Bascom and graduated from Malone High School. Joey served in the U S Army for several years having served in the Panama Canal Zone for part of his tour of duty. He was office manager for Department of Child Support Enforcement in Panama City. Joey was a member of Gideons International, Marianna Camp and a member of Salem Free Will Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and was a leader in AWANA Youth ministry. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ray Max Hagan and Carolyn Bryan Hagan of Bascom; maternal grandparents, Wes W. Bryan and Maurine Bryan of Bascom; paternal grandparents, John Vander Hagan and Mary Murphy Hagan formerly of Sink Creek; his father-in-law, Hollis Toole of Chipley. He is survived by his wife, Penny Toole Hagan; his son, Joshua Hunter Aycock; his twin daughters, Kaylen Paige Hagan and Sydney Carolyn Hagan; mother-in-law, Annie Merle Toole all of Chipley. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Salem Free Will Baptist Church in Steele City with Rev. Donnie Hussey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, at Salem Free Will Baptist Church, 2555 Kynesville Road, Cottondale, Fl.
