Joanne Wandeck Wynn

Joanne Wandeck Wynn joined her husband, Milton G. Wynn, Sr., in heaven Sunday, January, 24, 2016. To her friends she was known as Joanne but to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and their friends from Florida to California she was known as JoJo.
Joanne was the daughter of the late Charles Wandeck and Nell Adams Wandeck. She was born April 21, 1932 in Marianna, FL. She married Milton G. Wynn on September 26, 1951 and they lived together until his death on December 23, 2006. Joanne studied piano and organ at Brenau University and Florida State University. She served as a church organist for the First Presbyterian Church in Fitzgerald, GA. She also played for several revival services while living in Georgia. Joanne played the pipe organ annually for the Good Friday Prayer Service at the First Presbyterian Church in Marianna. She was a fourth generation member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marianna. She was devoted to the church and attended regularly until her health prevented her from attending shortly before her death. She was also an active member of the local DAR. She was known for her love of music and even played during her short stay at the Courtyard in Marianna. She often would play her late husband's favorite song "I Will Walk With God." She and Milton will now be able to take that eternal walk together. Joanne is survived by her three sons; Charles M. Wynn and his wife, Roberta "Bobbi" Wynn, and their two sons and wives; C. Philip Wynn and his wife, Kyndal Wynn and their son, Ethan, and Michael A. Wynn and his wife, Erin Wynn; son, William W. Wynn and his wife, Laura L. Wynn; and son, Milton G. Wynn, Jr., and his four children, Virginia Watford and her husband, Jason Watford and their two children, Elizabeth Joyce and Olivia Gretchin; and Rebecca Gumms and her daughter, Virginia Ray, and his twin sons, Chace and Chance Wynn. She also is survived by Gretchin Schultz, who was her former daughter in law who she remained close to. Joanne is also survived by her devoted sister, Alma W. Milton and her husband, John Milton, V and their three sons, John W. , his wife, Vikki, their son John W.,Jr., daughter, Natalee; Bryan and his wife, Merian, and daughters, Anna Beth and Virginia; Chris and his wife, Amy, their daughter, Tatum and son, Cooper. She was known for her independence and strength which she drew from her deep quiet faith. She faced life with reality and when given the news of her last illness she faced it with peace knowing her eternal destination. She will be fondly remembered for her love for her family, friends, and her music.
Service will be graveside at Riverside Cemetery, Tuesday, January 26,2016, at 11:00 a.m. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel will direct. Before passing, she requested that donations be made to the organ fund at the First Presbyterian Church in Marianna, FL located at 4437 Clinton Street, Marianna, FL.
