Jimmy Wayne Morgan, 82, of Grand Ridge, FL, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Jim, as most people knew him, was born May, 11, 1939 in Fort Worth, TX to James Vance Morgan and Omega Wanell Richards.
Jim loved to drive anything that had wheels: a school bus, an ambulance, a hearse for local funeral homes in Azle, Texas, and an 18 wheeler for Panhandle Slim. After retirement, his favorite 2 rides were a boat on the water, and a tractor in the field. Anything that moved, he had to be a part of it. When he wasn't on the road, he loved attending church. He served as a deacon and moderator of business meetings.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his Aunt Venita; cousin, Jean; loving in-laws, John and Dorothy Vesey; and the love of his life, Dottie Morgan.
Jim leaves to cherish his memories five children: 2 sons, Cecil Morgan of Azle,TX, Jay Edvabsky (Judy) of Marianna FL ; and three daughters, Connie Bennett of Weatherford, TX, Charlotte Edvabsky of Sneads, FL, and Patty Padgett (Kenny) of Azle, TX; two brothers, Donald Ray (Linda) of Grandberry, TX, and Jerry Richard (Opal) of Woodstown, NJ; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brandon Thorne officiating and James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
