Jimmie Elmore

Jimmie Gene Elmore, 68, of Marianna died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 26, 1948 in Winter Haven, FL to the late AJ and Mary Lou Grice Elmore. He lived most of his life in Jackson County where he worked at Lehigh Furniture Company. Jimmie then worked for Florida Public Utilities and retired after 36 years of service. He loved his family and especially his grandyoungins'.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Debra Elmore; a son, Christopher Elmore and a daughter, Kathy Elmore.

He's survived by his son, Eddie Elmore and wife, Keely of Cottondale; daughters, Amanda Elmore-Self and husband, Bobby of Marianna,  Renee Elmore Vanburen and husband, Fred of Grand Ridge; eleven grandchildren,  Alyssa Elmore, Allie Hinson, Jasmyne Vanburen, Rachel Routt,  Toni Routt, Jaley Willis, Jeremy Cook, Jordan Self, Justin Self, Jalen Vanburen and Rylee Elmore; one brother, Wayne Elmore and wife, Kelly of Marianna.

Service will be 6 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Damascus Free Will Baptist Church in Marianna with Rev. Ezra Caynor officiating. Family will receive friends following the service at the Church. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Disposition Private.
