Jimmie Elizabeth Chance Holcomb went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 4, 2020.
She was born on the family homestead located on Ten Mile Creek in Calhun County, Florida on Wednesday, September 19, 1923 to the late James P. I. Chance and Missouri Lizebeth Taylor Chance. Elizabeth was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Elizabeth was the youngest surviving of her seven sisters, Willie Bell Chance, Eva Mae Chance, Velma C. Clark, Della C. Bauknecht, Ida C. Martin, Lee C. Rooks and Ann C. Rogers.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, James D. Holcomb.
Elizabeth is survived by one daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Holcomb Medlock (James Perry Medlock), and several loved nieces and nephews.
A private graveside funeral service will be conducted at old Shiloh Cemetery near Clarksville with Bishop Mark Sims officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
