James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Jessie Catherine Sims, 87, of Marianna died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna. She retired from the State of Florida having worked a number of years at Sunland Center in Marianna. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Marianna. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Edison Sims; two sons, John and Eddie Sims; two brothers, Harold & George Wimberly; one sister, Eleanor Governallee; two great-grandchildren. Survivors include five grandchildren, Anthony Sims and wife, Bengie of Marianna, John Sims of Valdosta, GA., Stacy Sims of Blountstown, Janet Taylor and husband, Tim, Julie Hendrix and husband, Rusty all of Houston, TX.; six great grandchildren, Nathan, Zack, Quinn, Parker and Sabita Taylor; Terry Willey; one great-great-grandchild, Brayden Willey; two daughters-in-law, Judy Sims of Houston, TX. and Tina Sims of Altha. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Marianna. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha with James & Sikes Maddox Chapel directing. Family will receive friends Tuesday, from 7-8 p.m. at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
