Jesse David Hard, Sr. 88, of Marianna, Florida passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at his home of natural causes.
He was born to Albert and Ada Hard on October 2, 1933 in Evansville, Tennessee. He worked for General Motors until he retired in 1995. Jesse moved to Florida in 1997 with his wife, JoAnn. They loved spending time together on their front porch and just hanging out with friends and family. He was a loving a caring man. Jesse was always telling jokes or scaring people. He was a member of Marvin Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Hard; first wife, Thelma Hard, two daughters, Theresa LaPorte and Tina McCloud.
He is survived by children, Jesse D. Hard Jr., Robin (Bill) Torrance; step-children, Rodger (Kelly) LaPorte, Dawn (Mike) Lewis, Joseph (Tammy) LaPorte, Yvonne Hard, Billy (Chasity) LaPorte, Candy Jo (Shawn) Roller, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorialization will be by cremation and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
