Pelham, 69 of Graceville passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. Jerry was born in Houston County, Alabama on July 20, 1939 to the late Oscar Claude and Maebell Bruner Pelham, Sr. A 1958 graduate of Graceville High School, Jerry honorably served in the U. S. Air Force and U. S. Army. Jerry's love was fishing and spending time with friends and family. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Harry Pelham. He is survived by brothers Oscar Claude "Noonie" Pelham, Jr. and wife Sonya, David Earl Pelham all of Graceville, half-brother Bobby Fowler and wife Retha of Frostproof; sisters Sarah Cox of Newton, AL, Janice Miller of Moncks Corner, S.C., half sister Peggy Geissler of Santa Rosa, CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home with Revs. Seabron Miles, Sr. and Jerry Leisz officiating. Burial will follow in Collins Mill Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
