Jeffrey Cade Shouppe

Jeffrey Cade "Wheeler" Shouppe, age 13, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 18, 2008, surrounded by the love of his family. A student at Dayspring Christian Academy and member of Eastside Baptist Church, Wheeler lived every moment of his life to the fullest. He loved being outdoors, whether it be soaring through the sky in a plane, splashing around the Chipola River, or playing with his uncle Bud's "toys", he was happiest outside. His "best friend" and great source of comfort was his dog, Dolly. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Louie Shouppe. Wheeler is survived by his parents, Jeff and Sondra Shouppe, whom he loved more than anything on earth. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Larry and Carolyn Baggett, and paternal grandmother, Melba Shouppe. Aunts include Paige Vanderwerf and husband Marty; Sarah Maddox and husband Shannon; Jackie Burlison and husband Gerald; Cathy Williams and husband Richard; and Wanda Bass and husband Lamar. Uncles include Adam "Bud" Baggett and wife Jana; Eddie Shouppe and wife Debbie; and Bill Shouppe and wife Sue. Wheeler is also survived by 23 cousins, each of which were special to him. Visitation services were held Saturday, July 19, 2008 at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Eastside Baptist Church with the Reverend James Lamb and Dr. Steve Canada officiating. Private graveside services will be held immediately following the service.
