Jeff was born in Chattahoochee and a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He was retired from Apalachee Correctional Institution. Jeff was an avid fisherman loving to go fishing with his dad, he loved his family and friends very much. He would always end his conversations with "I Love You." Survivors include his wife Lola Ann; two daughters, Jennifer Benton and husband, Billy and Lindsey Harrison of Sneads; step daughters Lorrie Hickey of Grand Ridge and Jenny Lee Baxter of Moultrie; his parents, Walter Herbert and Gracie Harrison of Sneads; three sisters, Belinda Caplinger and husband, Keith of Marianna, Barbara Pelt of Sneads, Donna Gilley and husband, Jay of Grand Ridge; two grandsons, Kyle and Alex Benton and several nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sneads Assembly of God Church with Revs. Juno Douglas and Bill Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in Pope Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel in Marianna.
