Jeanette Pynes Land, 92 of Cypress, FL died Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Jackson Hospital.
She was born December 31, 1931, in Cottonwood, AL to Wyatt and Erie Pynes. She met and married Earl Land and together they had two children. Jeanette loved to travel, and she and Earl even spent time living in Alaska. She loved her family and keeping up with what everyone was doing. She was always staying busy, either gardening or working on her ceramics. If she wasn’t busy at home, she was on the go!
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Land; parents, Wyatt D. and Erie N. Pynes; brother, W.D. Pynes; sisters, Brunese Hart, Dorothy Rister, Audrey Strickler and June Granberry.
She is survived by her two sons, Chat Land (LeAnn), Erik Land; sister, Nelda Harper; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, who loved her dearly.
Graveside services will be 1 PM Monday, May 6, 2024, at Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jason Harris officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
