Jean Morehouse

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Miss Jean Morehouse, 79, of Marianna died Sunday, June 12, 2011 in Marianna. Born in Norwich Ct. Jan. 30, 1932. Served in Women's Army Corp for 20 years. After military service worked for Florida Corrections Dept. for 10 years. Jean was never married and lived in Marianna for 39 years. After retirement she volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and also worked at the Habitat Thrift Shop. She also did volunteer work at the Jackson County Hospital, and was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by three brothers, Harold Morehouse of Hillsbrough, NH, Douglas Morehouse of Simsbury CT and Robert Morehouse of Gerogetown, MA and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Thursday, June 23rd at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Huw Christopher officiating, with a reception after the service. Interment will be in Norwich, CT. along side of her parents. James & Sikes Maddox Chapel Funeral Home.
