Jean Watkins Franklin, 89 of Graceville passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010. Graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Tim Folds and Dr. Jerry Windsor officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends after the service. Ms. Jean was born in Houston County, Florida on August 17, 1920 to the late Charles Israel and Bera Texas Watkins. A beloved mother, grandmother and friend to many, Ms. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church of Graceville. Preceded in death by her husband Elbert Steven Franklin, son Benny Elbert Franklin, son-in-law, Curtis Wade Riley. She is survived by three sons Joe Bruce Franklin, Rocky Mount, Va., Tommy Dale (Betty) Franklin, Navarre, Fl., Bobby Miller (Ginny) Franklin, Stuart, Fl. two daughters Patsy Franklin Riley, Graceville, Fl., Becky Jane (Phillip) Hornsby, Dothan, Al.; daughter-in-law Lanette Brackin Franklin Corpus Christi, Tx., fifteen grandchildren, Jeffrey Steven (Annette) Franklin, Benny Mark (Allison) Franklin, Adam Scott (Shelly) Franklin all of Corpus Christi, Tx.; Christopher Ben (Kris) Franklin of Eugene, Or; Beth Franklin (David) Allen, Dexter, Mi.; Joanna Franklin (Narziso) Cruz, Rocky Mount, Va.; Donna Riley (Tom Yarbrough) Willsey, Tallahassee, Fl.; Cindy Franklin (Jim) Eiland, Pensacola, Fl.; Tommy Dale (Molly) Franklin, Jr., Valdosta, Ga; Mary Katherine Franklin (Frank) Castro, Allentown, Pa.; Robert David (Kate) Franklin, Dannemora, NY.; Samantha Register (Aaron) Horton, Dothan, Al.; Tori Register (Gabriel) Browning, Croughton, England; Jamie Hornsby (Donnie) Lanier, Vance, Al.; Deena Hornsby (Pete) Renew, Tifton, Ga.; thirty two great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren; several sisters and brothers-in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
