Born in Mobile, Al., Jason was a life long resident of Jackson County and a graduate of Malone High School. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Adkins. Survivors include his mother, Helen Adkins of Bascom; one sister, Ceritha Land and husband, Matt of Bascom; three nieces, Cailyn Haight, Taylor Land and Katie Land and other extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 2 pm Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Bascom Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Ford officiating, burial will follow at Rocky Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Maddox Chapel.
