Mrs. Janice Hodges Williams 79 of Kynesville, FL, passed away peacefully at Jackson hospital on Friday May 28th with her family by her side.
Jan was a retired nurse from the Florida Department of Corrections. She was a member of Saint Anne Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents Riley and Margaret Hodges, two sisters, Faye Hodges and Phyllis Chance, one brother Wendell Hodges and one daughter Tracy Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Williams of Kynesville, daughter, Kim and husband, Jay Nichols of Alford, daughter, Erin Williams of North Carolina and son, Kevin Williams of North Carolina. Tylor Nichols and wife, Michelle of Panama City and Lance Nichols of Cottondale; sister, Pearl and husband, Bob Smith of Sardis, GA,; brothers, Douglas Hodges and wife, Nancy of Waycross GA, W. D. Hodges and wife, Gayle of Panama City, Sam Hodges and wife, Gwendolyn of Marianna.
Grandchildren Amanda Hamilton, Hunter and husband Austin Smith of Marianna, Rebecca Lancaster of Kentucky, Breanna Hale, Adrian Vasquez, Deaven DeBord and Eva Jones of North Carolina. Five great grandchildren Margaret, Mallory and Blake of Marianna, FL, Gabriella and Amylia of North Carolina.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, her flowers and helping others. She spent time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, June 3, 2021 at James & Sikes Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 4, 2021 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Father Phillip Fortin officiating and burial immediately following at the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Directing.
