Jamie Lee Carlton Hatton, 95, of Marianna died Monday, May 11, 2009 at Jackson Hospital. A native of Taylor County, Florida, Mrs. Hatton had resided in Jackson County most of her adult life, was a fifty year member of the First United Methodist Church where she served as church secretary for thirty years. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Hatton; her parents, Clifford W. and Laura Pauline Parker Carlton; one brother, Charles Denham Carlton; two sisters, Lucy Lee Everitt and Connie Ellis. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Herring and husband Howard of Marianna; a son, Ronnie Hatton and wife Beverly of Seminole; one sister, Helon Steen and husband Marvin of Shalimar; four grandchildren, Kimberly Carlton Walters of Baton Rouge, La., Scott Walters and wife Jayne of Louisville, Ky; Laura Allison Hatton of Fall Church, Va. and John Robert Hatton of Tampa; four great grandchildren, Christopher D. Jackson of Baton Rouge, Jake, Nick and Lexi Walters all of Louisville; special cousin and friend C. B. Carlton, Jr. and wife Thelma of Marianna; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10 am Thursday, May 14, 2009 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Bob McKibben and Rev. Bob Calvert officiating Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Maddox Chapel."
