James Alvin Paulk

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel James Alvin Paulk 79, of Marianna died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his home. A native and life long resident of Jackson County, Mr. Paulk was a member of First Nazarene Church of Marianna. He was a Painter, Carpenter and Plumber by trade, he enjoyed fishing and visiting flee markets. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edgar and Ella Adkins Paulk, two brothers, Ernest Paulk and Raymond Paulk. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Shirlene Paulk of Marianna; three sons, Kenny J. Paulk of Enterprise, AL, William B. Paulk of Century, FL, William J. Stewart of AZ; one daughter, Connie G. Paulk of Midland City, AL; two brothers, Mondell Paulk, of Richton, MS., William "Ray" Paulk, of Lawrenceville, GA; five grandchildren and four- great grandchildren; brother in law, Curtis Strickland and wife Linda; sister in law, Winnie Paulk and good friend Karen Kornegay. Funeral services will be 10 am Monday, January 7, 2013 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Ernie Gray and Rev. Ken Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
