James Thomas Morrissey

James Thomas Morrissey, 81, of Marianna died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. A native of White Plains, NY, Mr. Morrissey was a former resident of Ohio and Kentucky prior to moving to Jackson County in 2009. He was a US Army veteran, a former employee of Batesville Casket Company as a design engineer and retired as a corrections officer with the State of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Donna Morrissey; his parents, Archibald Leo and Edna McKinnley Morrissey. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Scott Morrison; two grandsons, James Scott and Jeremy Barrett Morrison all of Marianna. Memorization will be by cremation with a memorial service held at a later date in Harrodsburg, Kentucky with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in charge of arrangements."
