James Roy Mckay, Jr.

James Roy McKay, Jr. 79, of Graceville died Friday, March 12. 2010 at Jackson Hospital. Born in Dothan, AL. Mr. McKay had resided most of his life in Jackson County. He was a retired over the road truck driver and a US Army veteran having served in Korean. He was preceded in death by his parents James Roy McKay, Sr. and Juanita McNeese McKay; two brothers, John McKay and Thomas "Buster" Traylor; a sister, Mary Ayers; the mother of his children, Beulah Cook. Survivors include two daughters, Wanda McKay and Fiance', Jim Melvin of Grand Ridge, Dawn McGann and husband, Sean of Marianna; one sister, Peggy McDonald of Cottondale; three grandchildren, Cricket Player, Alexis McGann and James McGann. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Dean McCoury officiating. Interment will follow at Cottondale Baptist Cemetery with Sneads American Legion Post 241 providing military honors. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
