James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel James Charles Krieger Mr. Krieger passed away at Southern Baptist Hospital in Plant City on July 8, 2014. Mr. Krieger had spent the past few years fighting major illnesses which finally took his life. He was a retired State of Florida Fire Marshall. He had served on the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Department and several other law enforcement organizations as well. His retirement from the State Fire Marshalls Office came from a heat related disability. He moved from Niceville to the Dover area for his retirement to be near family. He became interested in the AARP Driver Improvement course as a volunteer. He worked his way up to State Coordinator of Volunteers for the AARP Driver Improvement program. After 6 years in that position he resigned, recently, for health reasons. Mr. Krieger is survived by his daughter Jenifer Miranda Krieger-Walters, her son Michael(15), daughters Arianna(18) and Mykayla(17); and his son James C. Krieger II and his wife Rachel. His brother David lives in the Clearwater area with his wife Veronica. Also in the area are his two nephews Mark Krieger and Howard Krieger with their families. A Graveside Services for Mr. Krieger will be Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 2 PM CST at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Marianna, FL. with James & SIkes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. No visitation is planned.
