James D. Holcomb

James D. Holcomb, 80, of Marianna died Monday, November 3, 2008 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was a native of Vivian, LA., retired from the U S Air Force. He served in Vietnam, Korea and served a tour of duty in Europe. after his retirement from the armed forces, he was a airplane machanic for Marianna Airmotive for more than 15 years. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jimmie C. Holcomb, his daughter, Beth H. Medlock and her husband, Perry of Marianna; one sister, Ruth Evelyn Cornelius of Texarkana, TX. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008 at Maddox Chapel with James H. Sims , Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Old Shiloh Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5-7 p.m. at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. "
