Hamilton 65 of Marianna died peacefully Tuesday morning March 16 at his home following a brief illness. James was born Sept 3 1944 in Bascom to the late Leon and Estelle Dickens Hamilton. He was a 1963 graduate of Malone High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. James worked for 30 years at Florida State Hospital in Chatt, FL. James was a quite and mild mannered man who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded by his parents, brother, Tom Hamilton, sister, Mary Corbett. He is survived by brothers, Robert L. Hamilton of Lakeland, Fl and Charles L. Hamilton of Gordon, AL. Neices, DeeDee Martin (Carlan), Marsha Lynn Hannum (Shannon), and Kelly N. Hamilton. Nephews Tommy Hamilton (MaryBruce), Robin Hamilton, Clint Corbett, and Mickey Hamilton and several great neices and nephews. Tim Smith of Greenwood who provided friendship and care for James in his final weeks. The family of James would like to express their thanks to Tim Smith and Mary Bruce Hamilton for the love and care they gave James over the past several months. No services are planned.
