James Lauren "Honey Pop" Folsom

Mr. James Lauren "Honey Pop" Folsom, 69, of Marianna died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the VA hospital in Lake City, Florida. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Folsom was a former member of the Leon County Sheriff's Posse and a U.S. Navy veteran serving in Vietnam. He loved to fish, attend to his animals and was a member of Cypress Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by is parents, Lauren Eugene and Mary Alice Robinson Folsom. Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Sarah Folsom of Marianna; two sons, Jerry A. Walsingham of Marianna and Larry Folsom and wife Maria of Tallahassee; two daughters Cinnamon Walker of NC and Teresa Folsom of Tallahassee; one brother, Kenneth Folsom and wife Gwen of Marianna; two sisters, Pam Snellgrove and husband Alan of Sneads, Barbara Hall and husband Leon of Cypress; nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. David Shepard and Rev. Robert Rantze officiating. Interment will follow in Cypress Cemetery with full military honors with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
