James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel James Brazzell, Jr., 79 of Blountstown, FL, died Monday, August 27, 2012 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2012 at Pope Cemetery with Rev. Jack Howell officiating. James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Mr. Brazzell was born in Sneads, FL on December 20, 1932 to the late James Brazzell, Sr. and Mary Emma Groves Brazzell. A U. S. Army Sergeant, Veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Brazzell was employed with management at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Survived by two sons, Jason Brazzell and William Brazzell, two daughters,Catherine Baron(Brian), Mary Johnson(Ron) all of Michigan; one brother, William Brazzell(Judy), Albany; GA, three sisters, Mary Harrison(Grover), Cypress, FL, Nellie Durden, Grand Ridge, FL, Shirley Jackson(Larry), Tallahassee, FL; six grandchildren.
