She was born in Red Bay Florida, December 10, 1922 to Curtis Mayo and LuAnn Rigdon. Jackie graduated from Marianna High School in 1940 and continued her education to earn a diploma from Jacksonville Business College. Jackie and Hubert Parramore were united in marriage in 1944. He passed away in May of 1967. After Huberts passing, Jackie became manager for Fine Interiors in Melbourne Florida until 1971. Upon return to Marianna she worked as office manger for Verizon Telephone Co. until retirement. Jackie volunteered as a Pink Lady at Jackson Memorial Hospital, was an avid Bridge player and liked to travel. A loyal member of The First Presbyterian Church for over forty years, Jackie was very active in her church circle and also initiated an exercise class for the ladies. Jacqueline is survived by her son, William Parramore and his wife, Marianna, her son, David Parramore and his friend, Dana Walker, her granddaughter, Heather Abernathy and husband, Jay, and her great-grandson, Jake Abernathy. She was predeceased by her husband, Hubert Parramore and her parents, Curtis Mayo and stepmother, Naomi Mayo. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church of Marianna Florida with Dr. Ted Land officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
