Ida Mae Robinson Stephens went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Bascom, Florida on December 5, 1932 to Elwin W. Robinson and Lettie Mae Robinson. She grew up in the Bascom area of Jackson County, Florida and was a graduate of Malone High School. She joined her husband in their passion for agriculture and was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was an avid painter, writer, and story teller. She was an active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church Hwy 2 Bascom, serving in many capacities including Sunday School teacher, choir member and soloist.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Walter Ralph Stephens, her parents and brother, Edward Winfield Robinson. She is survived by her two sons, Allen Stephens and wife, Jane, Charles Stephens and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Joshua Stephens and wife, Rachel, Wesley Stephens and wife, Denea, Jillian Etress and husband, Jared, Emily Stephens and Scott Stephens; great-grandchildren, Allie Stephens and Harlie Etress; sister-in-law, Virginia Robinson, and special sister and friend Sue Taylor.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bascom with Rev. Henry Fullington officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church 6045 Hwy 2, Bascom, FL 32423.
