Hughie Bernard Parrish

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Hughie Bernard Parrish, 93, of Marianna, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at Jackson Hospital. He was born in Houston County on September 17, 1919 to A C and Maggie Parrish. Bernard lived most of his life in Jackson County, served in the U.S. Army for two years and retired from Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys. Bernard was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents A C and Maggie Parrish; wife, Annie Laura Parrish; two sisters, Kimmie Crooms and Merle Jordan; two brothers, Cecil Parrish and Grady Parrish. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Parrish; two nephews and four nieces. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. John Rollyson officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
