Hubert O. Meadows

Hubert O. Meadows, 90, of Marianna died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Jackson Hospital. Mr. Meadows was a native of Hartford, AL., he served in the Army Air Corp. for four years, moved to Marianna in 1953 where he has lived most of his life. Mr. Meadows had worked for Marianna Auto Parts and retired as Store Manager of Auto Electric in Marianna, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Meadows; survived by his wife, Virginia Meadows of Marianna; two sons, Neal Meadows and wife Jane of Tallahassee, David Meadows and wife Betsy of Norfolk, VA.; three sisters, Mary Joiner and Bonnie McSwain both of Hartford, Al., Martha Berry of Graceville; three grandchildren, Leslie Tucker and husband, Gavin, Kevin Meadows and Kathryn Meadows all of Marianna; two great grandchildren, Lauryn and Griffin Tucker; three honorary granddaughters, Heather Tatum, Jessie Dean and Sheena Davis. Graveside funeral services will be 10 am Friday, February 6, 2009 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Pipping officiating. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel will direct. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 5, at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
