Hollis was born in Ethridge, TN, to the late Amon and Searcy Edna Burdick Wade, residing in Greenwood, FL, (Dellwood Community) since 1996. A retired carpenter, Hollis was a U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Veteran. He loved the great outdoors, enjoying with his family gardening, hunting, fishing and camping. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Louise Wade, one son Russell Wade, both of Greenwood, three daughters Debbie Buckbee(Rick), Hollywood, FL, Donna Jamiel(George), Dublin, OH, Peggy Avielas(Louis), Greenwood; two sisters Mildred Wilson, Houston, TX, Searcy McCormick, Mobile, AL, ten grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at James & Sikes Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel with Rev. Dallas Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with military honors by the U.S. Army, James & Sikes Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel directing.
