Hilton Lewis, 88, of Jensen Beach died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his residence.
Hilton was born in Chipley and had resided in Jensen Beach for the past 18 years. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years, was the Superintendent of Vance County Schools in North Carolina and a Educator in Broward County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezekiel and Winnie Simmons Lewis.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Betty Croft Lewis; three daughters, Rita Carke and husband, Les, Theresa Ace and husband, Mike, Angela Roberts and husband, David; two sons, Clinton Morris and wife, Marie, David Morris and wife, Heidi; one sister, Bernadine Searcy; one brother, Donnie Lewis and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Grand Ridge Baptist Church with Revs. Caron Harn & Johnny Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Dellwood Baptist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. No visitation
