Hilda Hart Skinner, 88, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on April 30, 2021 after a short battle with kidney failure.
Hilda was born on May 22, 1932 to Lloyd David Hart Sr. and Lillian G Hart in Marianna, Florida. After graduating from Marianna High School in 1951, she went on to study Advanced Education at Troy State University, Troy Alabama, then to Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida to complete her degree.
After graduation, she landed her first job at Golson Elementary in Marianna, Florida, working there for 4 years. She moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 1963 and began working for Leon County Schools as an Elementary teacher, retiring after 24 years.
In 1937, she met Lenwood Glenn Skinner, and they wed August 8, 1955, going on to have 2 children, Sydna Skinner English and Jeffrey Glenn Skinner.
Hilda was predeceased by her father Lloyd D Hart, Sr., mother Lillian G Hart, brothers, Lloyd D Hart Jr. and Giles Wayne Hart. She is survived by husband, Lenwood Glenn Skinner, daughter, Sydna Skinner English and son-in-law, Stephen English of Tuckasegee, NC.; son, Jeffrey Glenn Skinner and daughter-in-law, Deborah D. Skinner of Tallahassee, Florida; three Step Grandsons Jason English of Lanett, AL, Taylor Earl Esposito and wife, Stephanie Esposito of Beaufort, SC, and Marshal Paul Esposito of Tallahassee, Florida. Along with many nephews and nieces.
A private family graveside service and burial will be held and she will be laid to rest at Comerford Pelt Cemetery, Marianna, Florida with James & Sikes Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing.
